Chandelier Chronicles
The Chandelier Chronicles is a limited-edition collection inspired by the glittering social world of 1920s and 1930s Old Calcutta—an era of grand heritage hotels, chandelier-lit ballrooms, intimate jazz evenings, high-teas and cosmopolitan soirées.
Drawing from the suspended brilliance of crystal chandeliers, the geometry of Art Deco interiors, the ornamentation of vintage jewellery and Bengal’s own narrative design vocabulary, the collection translates an age of unapologetic glamour into contemporary statement blouses.
Jewel-toned silks and cotton silks meet luminous tissue, intricate Aari hand embroidery, antique-toned threads, ornamental motifs and architectural stripes. Chandelier forms appear alongside stars, Kanbala Jhumko, Baluchari-inspired Kalka and heraldic motifs—each interpreting a different detail from the visual world of a richly dressed Calcutta evening.
At its heart, The Chandelier Chronicles is not a recreation of the past, but a conversation with it—where Bengal craftsmanship, decorative history and contemporary dressing meet under the imagined glow of a chandelier.
